Brief Company History
Founded in Victoria in 1988, Gardbar quickly established itself as the market leader in repairing or re-engineering of Aluminum and Steel Bull bars, tow bars, roof racks and side steps, for all types of vehicles.
Some 10 years later In 1998 the decision was made to form a second business under the name of ABC Mandrel Bending.
The concept involved the purchase of a Mandrel pipe-bending machine with the capability of bending 3” alloy tube. The “Hilgers” machine was purchased and is capable of bending up to 8” x ½” Steel pipe.
ABC has a range of tooling to suit this machine up to 101.6mm (4”) x 152 clr.
Three years on and second machine was purchased, a new SOCO 63NCMP This second machine is able to bend material up to 63.5mm on a 1.5D centerline radius. In 2004 a smaller third machine was acquired, a SOCO 38NCMP
